Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a well-established manufacturing organisation in Dewsbury to recruit a Purchasing Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong numerical and analytical skills to play a key role in a busy purchasing team.
Experience required:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a purchasing or supply chain administration role
Confident with Excel and data analysis
Strong numeracy, accuracy, and organisational skills
Proactive with the ability to make decisions independently
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Key responsibilities:
Monitoring stock levels, demand forecasts, and usage trends to raise purchase orders and ensure stock is maintained at optimal levels
Processing daily, weekly, and ad-hoc purchase orders, ensuring suppliers receive accurate details
Reviewing supplier order confirmations, resolving any discrepancies, and updating NAV with the latest delivery information
Communicating potential order delays or impacts to sales and production teams promptly to avoid disruption
Coordinating with the Goods In team to ensure smooth receipt of deliveries
Tracking weekly Goods In reports and chasing suppliers on outstanding deliveries
Maintaining accurate supplier records, delivery notes, and supporting documentation
Making independent decisions to balance stock availability with cost efficiency
Producing reports on supplier performance, including KPIs and OTIF (On Time In Full) metrics
