Job Title: Interim Purchase Ledger Manager - 6-Month FTC (£49,200 + Hybrid Working)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join a leading business on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract, supporting the Accounts Payable function through a period of change and improvement.

Due to rapid growth and inherited legacy processes, the finance team is looking for a hands-on, proactive leader to work closely with the existing team and drive improvements across the Purchase to Pay (P2P) process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support a 15-person AP team, working alongside two AP Supervisors.

  • Provide visible leadership and structure, ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

  • Collaborate with Supervisors to develop their management skills and empower them to lead effectively.

  • Identify inefficiencies within the current P2P process and implement workflow improvements.

  • Address immediate operational challenges with a focus on stabilising team performance.

  • Partner with senior finance leadership to embed a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all aspects of the Purchase Ledger function.

  • Influence and drive positive change in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

About You:
  • Proven experience managing or supervising Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable teams.

  • Track record of improving P2P processes and streamlining workflows.

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, able to uplift team performance.

  • Comfortable working in a transformation environment and resolving operational bottlenecks.

  • Proactive and hands-on, with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Available to start immediately or on short notice.

The Offer:
  • Salary: £49,200 + benefits

  • Working Pattern: 4 days office / 1 day WFH (potential for more flexibility once team stabilises)

  • 6-Month Fixed Term Contract with potential for extension

  • Interviews to be held via MS Teams this week
