Purchase Ledger Clerk - Sharp Consultancy : Job Details

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a successful and growing business based in Chesterfield who are looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Clerk on an ongoing temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join a fast-paced finance team within a highly regarded company known for its supportive culture.

This role is to start immediately and would suit someone with previous experience in a similar purchase ledger or accounts payable position.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
• Handling supplier queries both via phone and email
• Preparing payment runs
• Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth processing of invoices

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience in a purchase ledger/accounts payable role
• Be available to start immediately
• Be confident working with finance systems and Excel
• Have excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Additional Information:

• Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)
• Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday (flexible for the right candidate)
• Location: Chesterfield (easily accessible with on-site parking)
