About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving the purchase ledger function. You’ll work closely with Management Accountants and various departments to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all payment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the purchase ledger function, ensuring payments are accurate and made only to legitimate suppliers.
• Process overhead and agency invoices across in a timely and accurate manner.
• Handle monthly and weekly purchase ledger payments.
• Oversee the company credit card function and employee expense claims.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve queries and improve processes.
• Support the Subcontractor Ledger when required.
• Suggest and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.

• Ownership and responsibility for the purchase ledger process.
• Ability to review supplier statements and ensure accuracy before payment runs.
• Experience in delivering reporting and control processes aligned with evolving business needs.

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience in the housebuilding industry.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and Continia.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills.
