Job Description :

A returning client of mine in the logistics industry with a global presence is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk for their Head office team. The department is expanding and we are looking for someone who enjoys a fast paced, professional and dynamic work environment. You will be responsible for managing functions such as maintaining the general ledger and accounts payable, as well as participating in ad hoc accounting projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work under pressure and maintain high levels of accuracy and integrity.

Day to day of the role:

  • Book vendor invoices and match amounts in our proprietary A/P system to vendor invoices.
  • Prepare and issue schedules of payments and update vendor statements.
  • Reconcile and resolve problem invoices and build key relationships with vendors to quickly resolve invoice issues.
  • File invoices, statements, and any accounting-related documents when necessary.
  • Support the Accounting Department with miscellaneous projects and assignments.
  • Ensure communication with local branches and manage the general ledger and accounts payable.
  • Ensure that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain professional communication that is quick and accurate.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good computer skills with proficiency in Excel (essential V look ups, Pivot tables and sum ifs), Word, & PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Good team player with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-reflective, open to feedback, and able to work autonomously.
  • Role model of integrity and pride for all employees.
  • Professional appearance and attitude, reliable, and accurate.

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
