Reed Accountancy is proud to be recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant on behalf of a top-tier company in their field. This is a chance to be part of a vibrant team working in a newly renovated office space, where innovation thrives and collaboration fuels success.An office-based, permanent position and paying £27,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on if you are AAT Level 3 or Level 4 qualified).

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Process and post invoices with precision, using correct GL codes and maintaining financial integrity.
  • Take ownership of the purchase order system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across operational expenses.
  • Resolve supplier queries, manage payment runs, and reconcile month-end statements.
  • Keep the statement reconciliation tracker up to date and ensure timely invoice processing.
  • Produce weekly KPI reports, identify areas for improvement, and support automation initiatives.
  • Prepare cover for weekly payment runs and maintain financial trackers (utilities, repairs & maintenance).
  • Review contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid experience in Purchase Ledger and supplier account reconciliation.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, SUM functions, etc.).
  • Quick to learn new systems and comfortable with tech.
  • Excellent communicator with a proactive, team-first mindset.
  • AAT Level 3 qualification preferred – but experience counts too!
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy matters.

Salary : 27000 - 32000
