Salary: £26,000
This role would suit a person looking to start their career in Finance who is currently studying for their AAT level 3 or has completed AAT level 3. We are looking for a Finance Assistant who can help with ensuring the smooth operation of the day-to-day financial processes. The person must have a good work ethic, well organised, and diligent.
Duties:
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE- Registration of purchase invoices & credits- Processing of authorised invoices & credits- Reconciliation of supplier ledgers to supplier statements- Review of outstanding Purchase Orders, GRNs and paperless approvals- Assist with monitoring the Aged Creditors and resolving any disputes
TREASURY- Review expense claims for completeness of supporting receipts, upload expense payment to HSBCNet for authorisation- Prepare supplier payment runs, upload to HSBCNet and ensure entry to EFACS- Weekly & monthly bank reconciliation of EFACS bank accounts
OTHER- ADHOC work for other Finance Teams and contributions to projects- Liaise with all departments and subsidiaries to resolve queries in a timely manner and report any queries that are not resolved within expected timeframes- Provide cover for holiday & other absences as appropriate- Assist with providing information for the annual audit
Desirable Skills/Experience/Knowledge:- Demonstrated experience in finance although not essential - Demonstrate proficiency using key software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)- Attention to detail
