PTS Site Engineer - Randstad Construction & Property : Job Details

Are you an experienced Freelance Site Engineer specializing in rail renewals projects? I am recruiting for a reputable Tier 2 subcontractor seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team for a long-term position across the Kent and Sussex regions.

While primarily office-based, you'll be instrumental in supporting the delivery of essential rail maintenance works, including Under Track Crossings (UTX), drainage systems, trough routes, and track works.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing project documentation and paperwork, including the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Ensuring the quality of work by reviewing site reports and liaising with on-site teams.
• Applying for necessary permits, including Permits to Dig.
• Coordinating Temporary Works documents to ensure compliance and safety.
• Supporting the team in delivering essential rail maintenance works, including:
  • Under Track Crossings (UTX)
  • Drainage systems
  • Trough routes
  • Track works

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on rail maintenance projects, with a strong emphasis on office-based duties and paperwork management.
• Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) ticket is essential.
• Access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving license.
• Strong understanding of rail infrastructure, safety regulations, and Network Rail processes.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Proficient in producing and managing RAMS, ITPs, and temporary works documentation.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
