Are you a Psychology or Sports Psychology graduate based in or around Luton, ready to make a real impact in education and training?

We're working in partnership with a highly respected Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Luton, rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, known for its innovative, supportive approach to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) education. The school is now seeking a passionate and proactive graduate to join their team as a Clinical Teaching Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology or Sports Psychology graduate who wants to build hands-on experience and develop a meaningful career in education, clinical psychology, or youth support services.

The Role: Clinical Teaching Assistant

As a Clinical TA, you'll play a key role in supporting children and young people with SEMH needs, using your academic knowledge to guide interventions and build emotional resilience.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH challenges
  • Assist in delivering interventions focused on emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social skills
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
  • Apply psychological principles to adapt your approach to each student's individual needs
  • Monitor and record progress, supporting ongoing assessments

As a Psychology or Sports Psychology graduate in this role you will build consistent, trusting relationships that encourage student development and engagement

Who We're Looking For:

  • A graduate in Psychology, Sports Psychology, or a related discipline
  • Passionate about supporting children and young adults with SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, resilient, and proactive attitude
  • Previous experience in education, coaching, or mentoring is a bonus - but not essential
  • Able to reliably commute to Luton
