re you a psychology graduate looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in educational settings? Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs? We are currently recruiting psychology graduates to work in SEN schools across Sefton, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
? The RoleAs a member of our dedicated support team, you will:
Work 1:1 and in small groups to support pupils with ASD and SEMH
Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and emotional regulation
Assist with classroom activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
Contribute to a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment
Use your psychological insight to understand behaviour and promote progress
Hold a degree in Psychology (or related field)
Have a genuine interest in special educational needs and child development
Be resilient, patient, and able to respond calmly to challenging situations
Have experience (formal or informal) working with children or young people
Be looking for a full academic year commitment (term-time only)
Psychology graduates exploring careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching, or Youth Work
Individuals seeking practical experience before progressing to postgraduate training
