Position Overview: Prototype Build Technician

As a Prototype Build Technician with an Electric Vehicle (EV) bias, you will play a pivotal role in the whole vehicle build process. Your responsibilities will include component assembly, sub-assembly, and the creation of entire vehicles from the ground up within a bay-build environment. Using your Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim skills, you'll contribute to the development of future automotive models.

Key Responsibilities as a Prototype Build Technician:

• Whole vehicle preparation, assembly, and build, with a primary focus on Mechanical build, Trim and Final Assembly.
• Mechanical and Electrical assembly tasks, including building components and sub-assemblies from scratch.
• Creating and assembling entire vehicles within a bay-build discipline, covering Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim aspects.
• Fitting part/full interior Trim packages with precision and attention to detail.
• Utilising your extensive knowledge of EVs and Hybrid vehicles to contribute to the prototype process.
• Reading and interpreting engineer drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
• Diagnosing and supporting the logging of build issues, contributing to engineering improvements.

Working Hours:

Day Shift: Monday – Thursday: 8.00am – 16.45pm, Friday 8.00am – 2.30pm (39 hours per week)

Contract type: Inside IR35 – Initial 6-month contract.

PAY: £23.08 – uplifted pay rate to be paid via Umbrella PAYE
