We are seeking a talented and experienced Proposal Manager to take ownership of high-quality, client-focused tender submissions within the Facilities Management (FM) sector. This role will play a critical part in shaping and delivering compelling proposals that clearly demonstrate value, innovation, and strategic alignment with client requirements.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end position that combines bid strategy, content development, stakeholder engagement, and submission oversight. You'll work closely with operational and subject matter experts to develop tailored, persuasive proposals that stand out in competitive tendering environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full bid lifecycle from early-stage qualification (PQQs, EOIs) to final submission and post-tender clarifications.

  • Lead bid strategy development, win theme creation, and value proposition articulation.

  • Coordinate and facilitate kick-off meetings, storyboarding, and reviews to ensure alignment and accountability.

  • Write and edit clear, benefit-led proposal content tailored to specific client needs.

  • Ensure compliance with submission requirements and maintain high standards of structure, clarity, and visual presentation.

  • Collaborate with commercial, operational, and technical leads to develop innovative and commercially viable delivery models.

  • Maintain and update bid plans, timelines, and stakeholder communications throughout the process.

  • Coach and mentor internal contributors on bid best practice to raise submission quality.

  • Conduct research on clients, competitors, and markets to inform strategic approach.

  • Support the development of presentations and manage Q&A responses under tight deadlines.

  • Lead lessons learned and continuous improvement activity to evolve future submissions.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in bid or proposal management, ideally within the FM or support services sectors.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills - with the ability to simplify complex information.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects concurrently.

  • Comfortable leading cross-functional teams and engaging senior stakeholders.

  • Collaborative and assertive - able to influence and motivate others in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
