We're looking for a Property Operations Manager, to lead the day to day management and visitor operations on site at Ightham Mote. This role is ideally suited for someone who is fully prepared to “get stuck in” to whatever areas are needed to ensure the smooth running of the property.
Ightham Mote is currently undergoing significant investment in its infrastructure, with a sensational new visitor welcome and retail building due to open this summer. This is an opportunity to be part of the future of this historic site and transform the visitor experience for our growing audiences.

We're a high achieving, supportive team who work at pace. You'll be part of the Property Leadership team for the Portfolio, reporting directly to the General Manager. You'll work together closely to design and implement our Property Business Plan, to secure a sustainable future for our places, share them with a wide and diverse audiences and deliver brilliant visitor experience.

What you'll be doingDay to day, you’ll manage and be accountable for the operations on-site at Ightham Mote and for smaller properties nearby. You’ll be committed to delivering and maintaining outstanding supporter involvement and experiences and for ensuring your teams are empowered to play their part.
You’ll line manage a team of staff and volunteers to ensure that visitors receive the best experience possible and will have responsibility for key areas from presentation, service, volunteer management, development, health and safety and elements of the commercial performance of the property.
