Property Manager - Venn Group : Job Details

Bristol City Council are seeking a Property Manager within Housing and Landlord Services, to support the Property Partners in delivering effective property solutions in line with Asset Management Plans, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. This role involves managing property transactions, advising on legal agreements, and overseeing Right to Buy processes.

Location: Bristol City Council 

Set-up: 3-days a week on-site

Rate: £300/day, via umbrella inside IR35

Duration: Initial 3-month sign-off, potential extension

Hours: Full-time position

Responsibilities include:

• Provide professional advice on property-related matters, including compliance with legislation, policy, and best practice
• Negotiate legal agreements for the use of land and property with third parties, including rent reviews, assignments, and surrenders
• Manage Right to Buy applications, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing under the Housing Act 1985
• Collect, analyse, and report financial and performance data related to Right to Buy activity to key stakeholders
• Contribute to property reviews and rationalisation projects, supporting efficient use and management of assets

Requirements:

• Proven experience in property management, estate management, or a similar role
• Knowledge of property law, land transactions, and compliance requirements, preferably RICS standards
• Experience in negotiating legal agreements and leases with third parties
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience managing financial and performance data
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to provide professional advice to a range of audiences
