Block Manager - Burgess Hill

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Company benefits

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Location: Burgess Hill (Office-based with site visits)

Requirements: Full UK driving licence and own transport

We are working with a leading property management company looking for an experienced Block Manager to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional with a background in block and estate management to develop their career within a supportive and growing organisation.

The Role:

As a Block Manager, you will oversee the management of a portfolio of residential blocks and developments, ensuring they are well-maintained, compliant, and financially managed effectively. You will work closely with freeholders, leaseholders, contractors, and the accounts team to deliver a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of residential developments
  • Liaising with leaseholders, freeholders, and contractors to coordinate maintenance and repairs
  • Raising work orders and ensuring contractors meet required standards
  • Attending AGMs and conducting regular site inspections
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and relevant legislation
  • Managing budgets and service charge accounts, working closely with the finance team
  • Handling tenant and leaseholder queries, ensuring timely resolutions
  • Assisting with major works and refurbishment projects

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in block & estate management OR a property management background with direct experience in block management
  • Strong knowledge of leases, compliance, and industry regulations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A full UK driving licence and access to own transport for site visits

Desirable (but not essential):

  • AIRPM qualification or actively working towards it
