JOB DESCRIPTION: Property Administrator and Business Support
HOURS OF WORK: Full time - up to 37.5 hours per week (09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday) Half an hour for lunch
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
To work within the Property team, supporting management to provide administrative support, assisting to secure planning permission, coordinating, consultants, clients and suppliers' information. A good work ethic and good communication skills are essential.
KEY OBJECTIVES:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL:
- To be part of the Head Office Team giving direct support to the Managing Director, Construction Director, Commercial Manager and wider Property team.
- To be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel in order to word process and create/update spreadsheets and timelines.
- Attend meetings as required and produce and follow up task lists
- To assist Managers with the procurement process by obtaining quotes from and placing orders with consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.
- To be based in the Head Office at all times as part of the Property team but be able to attend sites as required and therefore able to drive
- To be able to carry out electronic and hard copy filing, arrange meetings, carry out scanning and copying, make up files.
- To be able to answer phones, take messages confidently and competently.
- To attend any agreed training to help develop skills.
- To carry out any general tasks within the office and offer support and cover to the Property Team and Management as required.
DESIRABLE
- To have a general to intermediate understanding of construction or planning permission process.
- To be able to navigate the Planning Portal Website and Council Planning Permission Websites.
- To have a general understanding of technical reports in Drainage, Landscaping, Ecology, Archaeology, Ground Contamination, Trees, Highways and Lighting.
- To have a general understanding on how to read an architect plan.
- To be able to review planning permissions and highlight constraints/ concerns and present these to the Manger/ Director.
- To be able to negotiate and obtain consultant fee proposals and present these in the form of a comparison spreadsheet to the Manager/ Director
