Role: Project Supervisor - Gas Construction / Decommissioning

Location: Homebased (travel around Cambridgeshire)

Duration: 6 Months

Role Overview:

As a Project Supervisor, you'll represent the client on-site, ensuring gas construction and decommissioning projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with technical and contractual standards. You'll be the key link between contractors and project teams, driving performance, safety, and value throughout the project lifecycle.This is a site-based role with regular travel and overnight stays. While home working is possible, most of your time will be spent on-site overseeing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily site activities, ensuring safe and compliant execution of works.
• Act as the client representative, monitoring contractor performance and adherence to contract terms.
• Review and challenge risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and chair site progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g. CDM).
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to meet project milestones.

Essential Requirements:

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• In-depth understanding of legislative and technical requirements for gas construction.
• Experience with integrated safe systems of work (e.g. permit to work, isolations).
• Site-based experience on high-pressure gas transmission assets (e.g. terminals, compressor stations, pipelines).

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

• SHEA Gas, NRSWA, SSSTS/SMSTS certifications.
• First Aid certification.
• Training or qualifications in Health, Safety, and Environmental Management.
