Job Description :

Our client is a successful ecommerce/retail business that has grown quickly over a short period of time. Whilst successful, they have always had an informal approach to delivering projects and with a new MD in situ, want to professionalise this area with structure and governance.

We are therefore looking for an experienced Project Manager with a PMO background. There are around 20 business focussed (not IT) projects currently running without much formal planning, governance and structure or timeline for delivery or identified risks, issues and dependencies logged. The initial role will be to set up a PMO function to support the people in the business currently delivering these projects. An overall programme plan needs to be defined with the various projects, RAID logs, tools to assist, etc. This person will also be keen to set up and deliver future projects as projects move away from the business and given to Project Managers to deliver. A strong emphasis in building business cases for projects is key.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a project manager in a dynamic and fast-paced changing environment. Retail, Ecommerce and FMCG fit well here but not essential
  • Previous PMO experience and responsible for building business cases, Project planning, RAID logs and so on
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience delivering business focussed projects. There will be some Tech focussed projects but current projects are in Logistics, Facilities management, Marketing and other areas
  • Need to do 3 days in office per week.
