We’re seeking a motivated Project Managersto lead and deliver a range of business-critical projects. You’ll oversee initiatives from assessment through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Working closely with analysts, subject matter experts, technical teams, and external partners, you’ll take a hands-on or facilitative approach to analysis, requirements, documentation, and delivery.
Reporting to the Head of Change and Delivery, you’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders and end users, making a real impact on the way our business operates. This role can be based at either our Salford office or our Fleetwood Lancashire site. Please also note, this is an on-site position and is not offered on a hybrid or remote basis and will be a 12 month FTC

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Project Management:
- Develop, initiate, and oversee project plans, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Define and monitor project scope, goals, and deliverables to support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet required quality standards, comply with policies, and adhere to relevant regulations.
- Track and report on project performance, ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project status, including risks, issues, and progress. Facilitate meetings and create reports to communicate updates effectively.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk logs, and progress reports, updating as needed.
- Manage project team members, assigning tasks and ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Allocate resources and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for seamless project execution.
- Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring expenses are tracked and aligned with financial goals.
- Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring deliverables are met according to agreements.
Business Analysis:
- Analyse business practices, procedures, and systems usage, documenting current processes and business needs.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, collaborate on potential solutions, and design optimised future-state systems, processes, and working practices.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and create functional specifications, leading to comprehensive business cases for change.
- Assist in the development of feasibility studies, options appraisals, and recommendations, culminating in the creation of project initiation documents.
PMO and End User Support:
- Support the Head of Change and Delivery in managing the Project Management Office (PMO).
- Uphold and promote PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project management frameworks, tools, and templates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, seeking opportunities to enhance project management processes and practices.
- Serve as the primary project contact for stakeholders and end users, providing guidance and support.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to empower stakeholders and end users in project management and change delivery.
- Ensure effective communication and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience Required:
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable; solid working knowledge is acceptable.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience with proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience in the energy, utilities, or sales/Call centre sectors is advantageous.
- Experience in business analysis and process improvement is desirable.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Excel and MS Project.
- Understanding of Agile project management methodologies. Working knowledge is ideal.
