Your new companyYou will be joining a leading civil engineering contractor based in Worcester working on a major highways project in the Warwickshire area. This high-profile and established main contractor has a strong pipeline of work in the highways industry, working directly for both public and private sector clients, and their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader with a fantastic reputation.
This is a full-time permanent position based on-site in the Warwickshire area with hybrid working.
Your new roleAs Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining project plans, schedules and budgets
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture on site
- Managing client relationships, liaising closely to meet project requirements and expectations
- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Overseeing procurement, contract management and resource allocation
- Ensuring all documentation, permits and regulatory requirements are in place and up to date
- Reporting regularly to senior management and stakeholders on project status, financials and progress
- Ensuring the project is delivered safely on time, within budget and to expected quality.
What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:
- Proven successful experience managing projects from inception through to completion in the highways and/or public realm industries
- Knowledge of UK highways construction standards, regulations and best practices
- Sound working knowledge of NEC suite of contracts
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence.
