This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact by leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of organisational design and workforce transition activities essential to embedding the Pensions Dashboards Service (PDS) into MaPS business-as-usual. As part of the Technology and Change team, you’ll define future-state capability requirements, align structures and roles to the new operating model, and ensure teams are prepared, resourced, and supported to deliver the service sustainably. This pivotal role works across HR, Governance, Strategy, and functional leads to operationalise the service and drive long-term successYou’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to helping people across the UK improve their financial wellbeing.Role OverviewThe Project Manager - Capability and Organisational Structure will report directly to the Lead Programme Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for:Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document the future-state capability and team structure required to operate the Pensions Dashboards Service.
- Develop project plans and delivery milestones for capability and organisational transition activities.
- Work closely with the Business Architect, HR, and functional leaders to ensure alignment with the target operating model.
- Lead the development and coordination of role profiles, reporting lines, and resourcing plans to support transition to BAU.
- Facilitate business readiness and transition activities, including handover plans, workforce change communications, and coordination of recruitment or redeployment.
- Track risks, dependencies, and progress related to capability delivery, and escalate issues to governance forums as needed.
- Coordinate updates to organisational documentation, planning tools, and business systems to reflect the future-state model.
- Represent capability planning and transition work at relevant programme boards and working groups.
You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in organisational design, capability development, or transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of operating models, workforce planning, and structural change in a multi-functional or matrix environment.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across HR, Strategy, Governance, and Operations to deliver coherent organisational change.
- Excellent planning, risk management, and project delivery skills, with a structured and pragmatic approach to execution.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in public sector, digital, or service delivery organisations is desirable.
- Familiarity with transition management, role design, or business readiness planning would be an advantage.
