Project Freight Forwarder - Reed : Job Details

Location: SurreyDepartment: Project Logistics / OperationsReports To: Operations Manager / Project Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Freight Forwarder to join our clients operations team. The successful candidate will manage complex logistics projects involving out-of-gauge (OOG), heavy lift, and oil & gas shipments. This role requires a deep understanding of international freight forwarding, multimodal transport solutions, and project cargo handling.

• Project Coordination:Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end logistics solutions for OOG, heavy lift, and oil & gas shipments across air, sea, and land.

• Operational Execution:Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of cargo, including route planning, carrier selection, and documentation.

• Compliance & Documentation:Prepare and verify shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, customs declarations, certificates of origin) in line with international regulations.

• Risk Management:Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies for high-value and complex cargo.

• Cost Control:Monitor budgets and provide cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.

• Able to identify potential new business internally

• Proven experience in project freight forwarding, especially with OOG, heavy lift, and oil & gas cargo.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, international shipping regulations, and customs procedures.
• Experience with multimodal transport planning and execution.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
