Project Engineer

London based MSP - Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full project lifecycle - from scoping and technical design to implementation and handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions across cloud (Azure), on-prem, and hybrid environments, including networking, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management with Intune.
• Collaborate with pre-sales and sales teams to assess client requirements and shape technical solutions that meet both business and operational needs.
• Act as the technical point of contact during client engagements - building strong relationships, offering guidance, and communicating technical information clearly and confidently.
• Participate in client meetings and due diligence sessions, validating solution designs and identifying areas for improvement or added value.
• Take ownership of project documentation, including Scope of Work, timelines, resource planning, and reporting.
• Ensure the quality and security of all delivered solutions, adhering to ISO27001, ISO9001, and client-specific requirements.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, mentoring junior team members and maintaining technical documentation and best practices.

Key Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly around infrastructure build-outs, migrations, and Azure Active Directory
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• Proficient in endpoint management using Intune, including device enrolment and policy configuration
• Good working knowledge of networking fundamentals - firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing
• Experience with virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V and/or VMware
• Proven track record of delivering technical projects from planning through to implementation and support
• Comfortable leading on-site or remote client engagements, acting as a trusted technical advisor
• Confident producing and working from Scope of Work documents, project plans, and technical documentation
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced MSP environment
• Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Awareness of information security standards such as ISO27001 and best practices around data protection
• Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem solving
