Are you passionate about project coordination and eager to support the successful delivery of exciting projects? Our client, a leading supplier in the manufacturing and production industry, is on the lookout for a dedicated Project Assistant to join their team in Prudhoe.

Position Details:

  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Contract Length: 6 months
  • Hourly Rate: £13 - £16
  • Location: Birtley
  • Driving Required: Yes

What You'll Do:As a Project Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects run smoothly by managing documentation, schedules, and programme alignment. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will help maintain compliance and quality throughout all project phases. Here's a glimpse of your key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

    • Document Control:- Set and follow up on document submission deadlines to keep everything on track.
      - Manage document references and revisions to ensure accuracy.
      - Maintain comprehensive document tracking systems for easy access and reference.
      - Take and distribute meeting minutes promptly, ensuring everyone is in the loop.
      - Update and monitor the procurement schedule to align with project needs.
      • Programme Lead Responsibilities:- Maintain and update the project programme (Gantt chart) to visualise progress.
        - Review documentation for quality and compliance with industry standards.
        - Manage early warnings, issue logs, and compensation events to mitigate risks.
        - Ensure alignment between the procurement schedule and the overall programme for seamless execution.

What We're Looking For:

        • Proven experience in project coordination or document control.
        • Strong understanding of project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
        • Excellent organisational and communication skills to interact effectively with the team.
        • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without breaking a sweat.
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems to keep everything organised.

Preferred Skills:

        • Familiarity with NEC contract processes and terminology.
        • Experience in construction or engineering projects is a plus.
        • Knowledge of procurement processes and scheduling will make you stand out.
