Project Accountant - EA FIRST LTD : Job Details

My client, a large retailer is seeking a Project Accountant to be based from its offices in Wolverhampton (4 days per week).

My client is an established retailer based in Wolverhampton, who has seen significant growth over the last five years

As a retail focused Project Accountant based in Wolverhampton reporting to the Senior Management Accountant you will:

• Own in particular daily reconciliations for 200+ plus stores
• Investigate and resolve variances, liaising directly with store operations
• Develop and maintain reconciliation templates, checklists, and documentation standards
• Produce detailed reconciliation reports and present findings to finance leadership
• Support ad-hoc financial projects, audits, and system implementations with a reconciliation lens
• Work with IT to resolve data errors / missing data sets

The most desirable applicant for this retail focused Project Accountant role will:

• Have demonstrable experience in retail or project accounting
• Proven expertise in complex and large volume reconciliations as well as variance analysis
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels

Up to £40,000 per annum for a 6 month contract
