Project Accountant - Robert Half : Job Details

Robert Half is delighted to partner with a highly-regarded professional services organisation located in the heart of Leeds City Centre to recruit an experienced Project Accountant for an initial three-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional who is ready to hit the ground running and contribute to a vital project within a dynamic team.

In this role, you will act as the key liaison point between the internal team and external auditors, ensuring smooth communication and the accurate provision of financial information as required during the audit process.

• Serve as the primary contact for auditors, addressing queries and requests efficiently.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of financial data to meet audit requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all necessary information is readily available.
• Support the project team in refining and improving financial reporting as needed.

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with prior experience in a similar role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with audit processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to manage external auditor relationships effectively.
• Ability to work proactively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Previous experience in the professional services sector is advantageous but not essential.
