Our client is a nationwide not-for-profit organisation committed to making a positive impact . As we undergo an exciting period of organisational and systems transformation, we are looking for a highly capable and motivated Project Accountant to join us on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension.

The Role:This is a critical role supporting the successful financial delivery of transformation projects. You will work closely with finance, operations, and project teams to ensure robust financial oversight, improve processes, and support the implementation of new systems and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial management for key transformation and systems projects

• Monitor and report on project budgets, forecasts, and performance against plan

• Support the rollout and optimisation of new finance systems and processes

• Provide financial insights and analysis to project stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

• Contribute to timely month-end and year-end reporting as it relates to projects

• Drive introduction and standardisation of finance reports within PowerBI to improve efficiency and support decision-making processes

About You:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)

• Proven experience in project accounting, finance systems change, or finance transformation

• Ideally experienced within a not-for-profit or public sector setting

• Strong systems knowledge and a continuous improvement mindset

• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and support non-financial stakeholders

• Available to start immediately or at short notice
