Job Description :

REED Business support are working with a successful nationally recognised company who are seeking a Programme Manager to join their Supply Team on a temporary basis for a 4 - month period. This role offers the opportunity to engage deeply with water quality processes, legislative requirements, and external stakeholders, including senior government figures. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the delivery and continuous improvement of their capital programmes, particularly focusing on fluoride management strategies.

Day-to-Day of the Role
  • Embed and drive new ways of working to meet capital delivery requirements as outlined by the DHSC.
  • Maintain and enhance programme management tools such as action logs, decision logs, and risk registers.
  • Submit monthly DHSC programme reports and coordinate capital delivery reporting.
  • Develop and submit investment programmes for upgrading or replacing existing fluoride plants, aligning with strategic goals.
  • Coordinate high-level feasibility studies for the DHSC, ensuring accurate cost capture and reimbursement.
  • Act as the primary contact for DHSC, escalating complex issues to the Head of Strategic Delivery or Programme Sponsor as necessary.
  • Manage stakeholder communications effectively, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and maintaining formal records of meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in programme management and strategic development, preferably within a related field.
  • Strong understanding of water treatment processes and water quality legislation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience liaising with senior external stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and commercial models.
  • Independent worker who can also collaborate effectively with a wider team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to reprioritise tasks and manage expectations of others effectively.
