Interim Programme Director (Band 9)

Location: South East (Hybrid)

Rate: £100-115k (depending on experience)

Duration: 12 months

Start date: ASAP

MLC Partners are delighted to be supporting a long-term client with the search for a highly capable interim Programme Director for a period of 12 months, leading on a significant transformation programme through a period of change for the organisation. This role will have Board exposure and report directly to an Executive Director.

You will be responsible for:

• Lead the development and implementation of the strategically important transformation project and maintain oversight of the programme
• Engaging with senior stakeholders both internally and externally to the organisation and will need demonstrable experience of leading cross-organisational transformation.
• Leading multi-disciplinary programme resources, defining work, ensuring deadlines are adhered to and programme objectives are clearly articulated and understood
• Leading and ensuring that system and behaviour changes are consistent with the ambition of the project and are aligned to the Trusts values
• Continually evaluate the programme of work and team’s structure, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
• Implementing policies and procedures, monitoring progress against the strategic plan and adjusting plans and strategies in line with a changing environment.
• Ensuring oversight of financial performance, change impact and prioritisation across the programme working in a complex and dynamic environment

You will need to have:

• Experience of being the accountable officer for a high value/profile project
• Experience of leading large transformation projects in a Healthcare setting
• Experience of working with executive teams and Boards, although not necessarily as an executive
