Law Support

Job Location : London, UK

Posted on : 16/05/2025 - Valid Till : 27/06/2025

Job Description :

We are currently recruiting for a niche role that bridges HR and Compliance for our client who is a growing, mid-sized international law firm.

Working as a Professional Standards & Quality Advisor you will be based within the HR Team, but will work very closely with the Compliance & Risk team as well as Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and across the HR Business Partnering function to act as a hub and subject matter expert on SRA standards and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR Advisor with a real passion for policies and procedures, regulatory adherence, and compliance. But would also suit an experience Risk & Compliance specialist looking for a broader role with extensive stakeholder engagement and much wider remit. Candidates must be able to demonstrate relevant experience (albeit not necessarily in an identical role) gained in a law firm, and an excellent understanding of the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s rules, regulations, and standards of conduct. Duties will include;

  • Working closely with the Compliance & Risk team to make changes and improvements to existing processes and policies, especially concerning professional conduct, client service levels and work quality.
  • Provide guidance and support on development and training opportunities, in particular those that enable solicitors to gain CPD credit related to enhancing skills and behaviours.
  • Ensuring that the firm continues to deliver work of the highest standards, following current best practice and in compliance with the firm’s professional and regulatory obligations.
  • Take the lead on the practising certificate renewal process.
  • Work closely with the HRBP’s and head of departments to ensure CPD is fully integrated into the annual performance management review process.
  • Provide monthly reports for all mandatory compliance training.
