Production Team Leader - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a leading sustainable engineering business to recruit a Production Team Leader to join their Doncaster facility.

Reporting to Production Manager, the Production Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the production department, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. 

Our client is looking for someone with strong leadership skills especially the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and exceed expectations, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

Duties of the Production Team Leader include:

• Lead and manage a team of production operatives, providing coaching and support to ensure productivity targets are met
• Plan and organise production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines, optimising resources and minimising waste
• Monitor production processes to identify opportunities for improvement 
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Train new employees on production procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and continuously provide positive and supportive feedback

We would be keen to speak with Production Team Leaders with the following:

• Degree Qualified ideally in an engineering field is preferable but not essential
• Proven experience in a production leadership role
• Experience in a startup environment or fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Strong knowledge of production and assembly processes 
• Solid organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure
