About the Role
Reed Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client based in Moira for a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our client’s production team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take full ownership of your area, ensuring efficient and effective management of manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity, while fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production operatives to meet daily targets and customer requirements.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with company policies,
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene across the production area.
- Monitor and manage production schedules, ensuring timely and accurate completion of workloads.
- Support and train operators, ensuring adherence to documented work instructions and processes.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and report any issues promptly.
- Sign off departmental records and ensure accurate handovers between shifts.
- Provide cover for production operators when required.
- Health & Safety Compliance
- Enforce health and safety regulations and conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure correct use of PPE and safe operation of machinery.
- Promptly address safety concerns and incidents, taking corrective action as needed.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety.
- Participate in risk assessments and contribute to hazard control initiatives.
