Location: Canterbury, Kent

Salary: £DOE

Hours: 5 out of 7 between 7am - 7pm

Role Summary:

As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety standards are met. You will play a crucial role in leading a team of production workers, coordinating schedules and optimising production processes to meet customer demands.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and customer requirements.
  • Lead, train and motivate production team members to achieve high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, conducting regular inspections and addressing any non-compliance promptly.
  • Maintain inventory levels and manage raw material usage to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and quality control, to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of products.
  • Prepare production reports and maintain accurate records of production metrics, such as yield, downtime and labour efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to create a safe and positive work environment.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to analyse data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
