Production Planner - Morson Talent : Job Details

My client has an opening for a skilled Production Planner for their site in Portsmouth 

Duties include:

• Generating a schedule of Shop Orders based on MRP Requisition proposals and release dates, and issuing these to Production.

• Checking list of parts received into inventory and reviewing against availability planning to reserve against appropriate Shop Order.

• Maintaining the production schedule to ensure dates remain realistic and achievable. Working with the Production managers to ensure system data supports the generation of an achievable plan.

• Updating any in process Shop Orders that need to have changes made to the Product Structure/Routing as instructed by the Production Engineers

• Creating Shop Orders in our MRP system

• Optimising capacity and factory resources, scheduling materials, and planning production to achieve on time, in full delivery (to budget) to all internal and external stakeholders and customers.

• The planning of medium and long-term workloads in accordance with the Master Schedule, assisting in coordination of departments to meet programmes, attending the tier 3 meeting reviews of achievement to programmes

• Consolidating manufacture as appropriate and determining optimum lot sizes with due regard to MRP reports

• Working with the Commercial team to monitor and maintain customer order completion dates in line with production schedules.

• Maintaining master data cleanliness and good housekeeping and ensuring that the quality systems and procedures relevant to Production Planning Department are maintained.

This position will be working a day shift Mon - Fri
