Production Planner/Buyer - Futures Recruitment Ltd : Job Details

Are you an organised, proactive professional passionate about planning and problem-solving?We’re looking for a Production Planner/Buyer to join a growing manufacturing business at the forefront of product development based on the outskirts of Chichester. 

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and on time — balancing resources, schedules, and materials to meet customer demand, offering a 4-day working week and a salary between £25,000-£30,000.

• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating production to meet delivery deadlines
• Providing lead times and order confirmations to the Sales team
• Managing resources to ensure efficient coverage and output
• Monitoring production progress and supporting the team hands-on
• Buying raw materials and equipment to keep production on track
• Working with suppliers and managing procurement orders
• Supporting process improvements to make scheduling leaner and more efficient

• Experience in production planning and/or buying within a manufacturing environment
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Analytical mindset with excellent Excel skills
• Knowledge of MRP/scheduling software
• A confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Deadline-driven with a problem-solving approach
