Production Operator
Location: Hatfield
Job Type: Ongoing temporary placement (Possibility of a permanent placement for the right candidate)
Start Date: Candidates will be shortlisted initially with a 2-stage interview to follow
Salary: £15 per hour.
Hours: 39 hours a week (Choice of shifts available)
Monday – Thursday 6.30am to 15.30pm or Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm
Fridays are 7.30am – 12.30pm
My Hatfield-based client is currently looking for a Production Operator to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop skills within their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This role is based in their onsite factory with the possibility of some additional duties in their warehouse further down the line.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Perform picking, packing, reeling, palletising, and cutting operations.
- Check picking lists and print labels accurately.
- Use the company's ERP system to check and manage inventory.
- Work within a team to meet deadlines and manage workloads effectively.
Required Skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and diagrams.
- Basic understanding of testing cable and electronic assemblies.
- Aptitude for design, improvement, problem-solving, and fault finding.
- Excellent IT and organisational skills.
- Experience in a warehouse or similar environment, familiar with stock checking and inventory management.
Desirable Skills (not essential)
- Electronics qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, or City & Guilds) preferred, but not essential.
- Experience working within ISO9001 - 2015 or similar Quality Management System.
- Interest and understanding of electronic technology and products is a benefit.
