Job Description

We are currently working with a client based in Felling, Gateshead who are experiencing exciting growth, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor/Production Manager, the Production Operator will be responsible for the packing of quality goods along with various rework requirements, within a fast-paced production environment. The Production Operative will ensure all work is carried out to a very high standard in line with customer specification. They will be responsible for maintaining and exceeding good hygiene and food safety standards along with a safe working environment., feel free to call us for a confidential chat around the different roles we have!?

Duties

• Packing and assembling products based on customer specification, identifying any issues with components during the process.
• Palletising packed products safely in preparation for despatch, picking and storage.
• Operate various packing equipment following standard operating procedures and understanding risk assessments carried out for the operation.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the line always operates in an effective and efficient manner.
• Participate in stock take as and when required.
• Work within the despatch function as required by business needs.
• Work with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness and always complies with company and legislative standards.
• Full adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Be prepared to assist with other departments as and when required.

Required knowledge, skills or experience

• Able to work under pressure effectively within a team or autonomously.
• Ability to understand instruction and attention to detail.
• Possesses a good standard of numeracy skills.
• Demonstrate a reasonable level of dexterity.
• Able to work in an environment which involves manual handling and standing for long periods of time.
• Positive and flexible team player.

Additional Information

Location: Felling, Gateshead

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Rates of pay: £12.21p/h
