Central Employment is working with a leading Food Manufacturing business in the Teesside area, they are looking for a Production Manager to join the business. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in Food Manufacturing, a firm understanding of HACCP & food safety with the ability to work in a fast paced-pressurised environment.
We're seeking a results-oriented and experienced Production Manager to join our team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and high-quality production of our core product range. Applicants must be prepared to work 5 days a week across a 7-day production schedule, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Efficiency & Teamwork: Collaborate with department leaders to coordinate stock, production, picking, and dispatch, minimizing interruptions and maximizing efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Work with Admin and Goods In to ensure all stock requirements are met, maintaining product quality and minimizing waste.
- Food Safety Champion: Be the champion for our food safety culture, ensuring strict adherence to all procedures and traceability protocols.
- Team Leadership & Training: Supervise Production Supervisors and team leaders to optimize production and provide necessary inductions and training.
- HR Management: Lead on staff scheduling, holiday and sickness cover, HR processes (interviews, disciplinary meetings), ensuring adherence to company procedures and BRC guidelines.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain all necessary documentation for compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is complete to adhere with company procedures based on current BRC guidelines
You're a perfect fit if you have:
- A minimum of -5 years of experience working within the FMCG/Food Production sector.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment, ideally with a food background.
- A strong understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and collaborate effectively.
- A "can-do" attitude, flexibility, and a passion for high-quality production.
- The ability to prioritize, handle pressure, and thrive in a demanding environment.
