Production Line Leader - Reed : Job Details

Line Leader – Fresh Produce | Full-Time | Permanent Position 

Our clients are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Leader to join our dynamic team in the fresh produce sector. This is a permanent, full-time role with shifts averaging 10 to 12 hours, so a flexible and proactive attitude is essential.

• Lead the packing line efficiently while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and company standards.
• Conduct pre-start safety checks and ensure all staff are wearing correct PPE.
• Train and guide packing staff to maintain high performance and quality.
• Manage packaging logistics, ensuring all materials are checked and approved by QC before use.
• Coordinate with input/output teams and machine operators to prioritise jobs and communicate changes.
• Verify fruit variety, grower, and job numbers are correct before production.
• Ensure all packaging (e.g., polybags, flow wrap) is accurate and approved.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and liaise regularly with Production Planning and the Packhouse Manager.

Essential:

• Experience in fresh produce or food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of food safety standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good level of English (spoken and written)
• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
• Team-oriented mindset
