We’re hiring a temporary Production Accountant to support Film Production and Post Production departments. The main focus is clearing a backlog of reconciliations caused by a new system rollout and business growth, ahead of a year-end deadline.

About the role:

• Reconcile production budgets and expenses across Film and Post Production
• Initial focus on Post Production jobs: high volume, low value (~£50K, ~10 entries) — straightforward reconciliations
• Progress to higher-value, more complex reconciliations (up to £500K budgets, ~100 purchase entries), matching Producers’ Excel reconciliations to system data before finalising
• Potential for permanent role, evolving into a business-facing position with ownership of producers and/or clients

Ideal candidate:

• Experience handling reconciliations on budgets up to £500K with numerous purchase entries (supplier invoices, expenses, company credit cards)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable working with Excel and production accounting systems

Hiring timeline:

• Start 16th of September

Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience as a Production Accountant
• Strong reconciliation and Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIFs)
• Able to work across multiple production teams
• Experience with WorkBook or Maconomy (preferred)
• Proactive, self-sufficient, and detail-focused
