This is a backfill role due to dropout, working within a hybrid model and embedded within an Integrated Development Team (IDT).The role focuses on supporting modern electrical systems across both DC and AC power, particularly for submarine systems. You’ll liaise with external suppliers, contribute to preliminary and concept designs, and ensure robust safety practices are embedded throughout the engineering lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Support safety engineering tasks related to electrical power distribution systems, including software integration and liaison with external suppliers.
- Deliver and support concept and preliminary design phases through to implementation.
- Conduct hazard identification, risk analysis, and development of relevant safety documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and IEC standards, including:
- ISO 26262
- IEC 61508
- IEC 121200
- IEC 151288
