Product Manager role with a well established, growing manufacturing company. Exciting position with great progression opportunities based in Barnoldswick.

Client Details

Our client is a well established, market leading manufacturing company based in Barnoldswick.

Description

You will be the driving force in enabling the business to make informed and strategic decisions that can directly impact profitability and the overall business performance. The department take the journey of products from concept to model sign off

· Lead the Costing/ Product data team with the ability to motivate, mentor and support the team.

· Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate product data, including BOMs, routings, descriptions, product attributes, EAN codes as well as any other product data in our ERP system JDE.

· Create, maintain and validate standard costs and pricing for new and existing products.

· Coordinate with purchasing, product, production and other key stakeholders to gather relevant cost data.

· Develop and maintain cost models and tools to support strategic decision making.

· Drive process improvements in data governance and cost management.

· Train and develop team members, promoting best practises in data and cost accuracy.

· Monitor and analyse cost variances and investigate causes.

· Coordinate new product launches from a data and costing perspective, ensuring all timelines are met.

· Deliver the strategic priorities whilst embracing and promoting operational excellence through Kaizen initiatives

· Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress on projects covering the full department

Profile

· Great communication skills with the ability to coordinate cross functional teams.

· Experience in leading, managing and developing a team (product, materials, engineering, estimating, costing etc)

· Experience with coordinating tasks, solving problems and working cross functionally

· Competent Microsoft skills (Excel, One Note).

· Passion and creativity to drive the projects and team with the ability to prioritise depending on project needs.

· Embracing change and drive improvements, willingness to challenge the status quo.

· Strong attention to detail, driving data accuracy

· Proficient in handling large amounts of product data.

· Understanding product data taxonomy, ownership and governance
