An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly driven Product Manager to join a market-leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality Electronics, Lighting, Climate Control products, and PIR sensors. This role is ideal for someone looking to play a key role in defining and implementing the company’s product strategy for these crucial product categories.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Reporting to the Head of Buying/Product Development and responsible for product management of specific product ranges, working cross-functionally alongside the procurement, product development, commercial, and other relevant teams.
- Develop and implement product strategies, roadmaps, and manage the product lifecycle from inception to discontinuation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, product developments, regulatory, and legislative changes.
- Identify opportunities to expand the product portfolio with complementary products or ranges.
- Manage and coordinate all product marketing collateral and communications.
- Lead project management and coordination of new product launches and promotional activities.
- Manage product pricing by analysing market forces and competitor activity.
- Support the sales teams in maximizing opportunities for the product portfolio.
- Provide necessary product, market, and competitor information and training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant Product Management role with a proven track record.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well both in a team and independently.
- Customer-focused with the ability to build strong rapport.
- Resourceful, lateral thinker with a proactive approach to tasks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisation skills.
- Computer literacy with strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
