Our client is a global financial services organisation with a strong reputation for delivering excellence across wholesale banking, capital markets, and advisory services. They are seeking an experienced Product Control - Vice President to join their London Finance team.

This is a senior role with responsibility for P&L reporting, financial oversight, and the leadership of a small team. You'll play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy of trading-related financial reporting, maintaining strong control frameworks, and driving process improvements across the function.

Your New Role

As the Product Control - VP, you will:

  • Deliver accurate daily, monthly, and year-to-date P&L and balance sheet reporting for trading desks.
  • Oversee reconciliations between front office systems, sub-ledger, and the firm's general ledger.
  • Investigate and resolve balance sheet breaks and report material P&L adjustments.
  • Provide analysis, commentary, and insights to senior management on trading performance.
  • Supervise and develop a team of 3, ensuring quality outputs and timely delivery.
  • Manage small projects to deliver process improvements, efficiencies, and functional requirements.
  • Build strong working relationships with Front Office, Risk, and other support functions in London and abroad.

You will bring:

  • Product Control experience within a Bank or Financial Services business
  • Experience of P&L reporting and financial oversight (specific product knowledge is not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A proven track record of supervising and developing team members.
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Accounting, Finance, Maths, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with solid accounting knowledge.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
