Procurement Specialist - Pharmacy - Butler Ross : Job Details

Fantastic opportunities for 3 Procurement Specialists to join a leading healthcare organisation based in Birmingham, with a salary up to £43,000! The Procurement Specialists will be joining the Purchased Services Team to support across both the Pharmacy and Medical & Surgical categories within the organisation. Candidates will have previous experience in procurement and purchasing at buyer, senior buyer, or procurement officer level and be keen to develop themselves in their career!

Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialists:

• Supporting on either the Pharmacy category including pathology, diagnostics, LIMS. Automation, renal, medical liquid & bulk gases, or supporting on the Medical and Surgical Category
• Supporting the sourcing process including market research, bid preparation, RFI, strategy development & validation, SQ, RFP/ITT, contract negotiations, and contract launch
• Presenting category strategies and final awards to internal stakeholders for review and discussion, prior to being validated by members
• Undertaking a pre-assessment of award scenarios and utilises outputs to inform sourcing strategies for assigned categories
• Planning and executing project timelines for assigned categories, with guidance from their manager
• Overseeing the supplier relationship during the sourcing process. Participating in supplier business reviews and reviews new products/technologies/services as they arise in assigned categories

The ideal Procurement Specialist will have:

• 2-3 years procurement experience with a proven track record of delivery against targets
• Strategic Sourcing and Category Management experience
• Negotiating experience
• Supplier relationship management and project management experience
• Public sector experience

Salary:

Up to £43,000 + pension + private healthcare + flexible hybrid working + CIPS support
