Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Senior Procurement Officer, the role will be to support with purchasing requirements, responsible for providing high quality advice with respect to the goods and services purchase to pay process.
  • Raising of purchase orders from email and phone requests.
  • Receive service orders within the Finance system.
  • Handle purchasing enquiries, ensuring that issues are resolved fully and in a timely manner with relevant stakeholders.
  • To support the procurement team, as required, and to proactively assist end users, to enable them to make best value decisions regarding goods and suppliers, including procuring specialised equipment or services.
  • As and when required, to apply financial instructions, procurement policies and procedures in the provision of advice, guidance, and instruction to end users on administrative responsibilities, and supporting financial systems use, that applies best practice when ordering goods and services.
  • To ensure that a robust audit trail is maintained for all processed transactions and quotes to evidence proper approval, accountability, transparency, and equity.

Profile

A successful Procurement Officer should have:

  • Procurement/Purchasing administration experience.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on achieving cost efficiencies.
