The CompanyAre you a strategic thinker with a passion for procurement, supplier management, and trading? Our client is looking  for a Procurement Manager (Ingredients and Packaging) to join their dynamic team for a 12-month period.The role permits 2 days per week home working.The OpportunityThe Procurement Manager will lead procurement processes to ensure robust financial controls, effective supplier selection, and efficient stock management. They’ll be the key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, managing ingredients and goods for resale, and driving continuous improvement across procurement operations.Key Responsibilities will include:

• Supplier Management - Ensure consistent supply of quality ingredients and packaging from competitive, sustainable sources. Monitor performance against SLAs, NDAs, and stockholding agreements.
• Supplier Negotiation - Deliver purchasing budgets and savings through strategic negotiations. Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Risk Management  - Collaborate with finance and trading partners to mitigate inventory risks and identify spot opportunities. Provide market insights to support commercial decisions.
• Continuous Improvement - Champion automation and digitisation within procurement processes. Participate in business improvement initiatives.

About YouThe ideal Procurement Manager will have/be:

• Proven experience in procurement and trading, ideally from within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle or similar systems is a plus
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Available to start at short notice
