Procurement Coordinator - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyA confidential opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join a leading manufacturing business. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain through effective procurement planning, supplier coordination, and inventory management. Your new role

• Coordinate material requirements and manufacturing teams
• Manage strategic stock holding and material replenishment
• Negotiate pricing for B & C class materials and initiate approval workflows
• Oversee freight contracts and customs documentation
• Implement and maintain SAP S4 HANA procurement processes
• Support internal audits and compliance initiatives
• Train and develop procurement team members
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure delivery schedules are met
• Monitor procurement KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing or chemical environment
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office tools
• Familiarity with ISO9001 standards and dangerous goods regulations (ADR, IMDG, IATA)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
