Job Title: Process Supply AnalystDepartment/ Business Area: Supply Chain & Planning, Operations and ServicesReporting To: Product Supply Manager LeadLocation: BrinsworthSalary: £40k - £45k plus an 8% On Target Performance Bonus per Annum (Great Benefit Package)The purpose of the role is to optimise the supply chain for the UK & Ireland RBU by balancing supply demands, ensuring minimum production and distribution costs are incurred whilst providing maximum customer service. The main responsibility of this role is to actively manage the electricity and power cost optimisation for bulk production plants in the UK and Ireland, through implementation of load management plans. This is achieved by working with the Remote Operating Centre (ROC), Delivery Planning Centre (DPC) and the Transport Function to plan and implement supply strategies that minimise plant running costs and optimise distribution labour and vehicle utilisation.Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage UK and Ireland Electricity Load Management optimisation plans on a daily & weekly basis, determining how many hours bulk plants are required to run with productivity in mind, optimising the running hours v the cheapest power tariff.
  • Work with the ROC to influence the formulation and execution of the winter period Triad Management strategy to minimise electricity costs without compromising customer supplies.
  • Direct, optimise and manage the UK & Ireland National product vs demand supply chains ensuring that plants are running at optimum loading and to report on and follow up any production inefficiencies. This is managed on a daily/weekly basis to optimise plant loadings, liquid stocks, pipeline, and liquid customer demands.
  • Ensure that the highest levels of customer service is maintained, and customer supplies are not compromised.
  • Manage our competitor and 3rd party wholesale supply contracts and product purchase agreements to exploit the full potential of our wholesale & swap contracts to ensure that our contractual minimum take or pay obligations are met in full.
  • Identify, scope, and implement improvement initiatives to improve customer service, safety, production, and distribution efficiencies to reduce costs as an on-going programme of continuous improvements and best operating practice.
  • Actively engage with the Deliver function on a weekly basis communicating the optimum driver and vehicle requirements to reflect current activity in terms of customer demands and plant activity.
  • Quickly react to unplanned plant outages to ensure that Tonnage pipeline or Bulk liquid customer supplies are maintained whilst minimising costs to BOC daily.
  • Provide support on a rotational basis with out of hours telephone coverage to support to the Remote Operating Centre, Bulk Supply Branches, Delivery Planning Centre, Deliver and Product Managers.

  • The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of delivering results, have a results-oriented mindset, and be able to execute supply chain strategies that achieve the desired business objectives.
  • Being able to collaborate effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.
  • The ideal candidate must have experience in identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize efficiency in the bulk product supply chain.
  • Work with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace.
