Your new companyYou'll be joining a pioneering organisation dedicated to advancing sustainable technologies through innovative chemical process development. This company is committed to transforming materials and manufacturing practices to support a regenerative future. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team working at the intersection of science, engineering, and environmental impact.Your new role As a Process Development Engineer, you will lead the development, optimisation, and scale-up of novel chemical processes. This hands-on role spans from lab-scale experimentation to pilot and production-scale implementation. You will play a critical role in translating research into commercially viable operations, contributing to the design of new equipment, and integrating cutting-edge technologies into process workflows. This is a permanent role, based out of the company's site in London and requires a significant on-site presence.Main ResponsibilitiesProcess & Technology Development:
- Identify and develop new process concepts using innovative materials, chemistries, and unit operations.
- Design and execute lab and kilo-lab scale experiments to validate process concepts.
- Optimise processes using experimental data and modelling tools to enhance safety, performance, and sustainability.Scale-Up & Project Execution:
- Support process design during Pre-FEED stages of capital projects.
- Guide the transition from bench-scale research to pilot and production-scale operations.
- Define and implement key scale-up parameters and performance metrics.Equipment Design, Procurement & Commissioning:
- Specify, design, and commission novel process equipment up to pilot scale.
- Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions on time and within budget.Innovation, Flexibility & Digital Enablement:
- Integrate advanced technologies and digital tools to enhance process development.
- Adapt to a range of development activities, from exploratory research to plant-scale implementation.
- Demonstrate agility across structured and fast-paced R&D environments.Governance, Safety & Compliance:
- Uphold health and safety standards and best practices in laboratory and engineering settings.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
